What happens to a “Right” when it is wrong?
Is a Mosque at Ground Zero Salt on the wound or the most compassionate American act of Religious Tolerance? You Decide!
My own personal opinion is that in light of the 9/11 attacks; I have to say I think the idea of building a Muslim Mosque is more than a little insensitive to the families of those who lost their lives, and the residents of New York City. I believe the surrounding controversy speaks for itself. When We the People Speak, they should listen.
Let us examine these four elements
Commonsense The most common meaning to the phrase is good sense and sound judgement in practical matters
They say this is an act of Religious Tolerance, which is silently approved by our Freedom of Religion. A right guaranteed by The Constitution of the United States, the foundation for all human rights. What happens to a “Right” when it is wrong? Not wrong in any legal sense of the word, but wrong in a commonsense way.
Compassion (from Latin: "co-suffering") is a virtue —one in which the emotional capacities of empathy and sympathy (for the suffering of others) are regarded as a part of love itself, and a cornerstone of greater social interconnectedness and humanism —foundational to the highest principles in philosophy, society, and personhood. wiki
Tolerance
“In general usage, tolerance is the ability to accept the existence of something while still disapproving of it.
In social, cultural and religious contexts, toleration and tolerance are terms used to describe attitudes which are "tolerant" (or moderately respectful) of practices or group memberships that may be disapproved of by those in the majority. In practice, "tolerance" indicates support for practices that prohibit ethnic and religious discrimination. Conversely, 'intolerance' may be used to refer to the discriminatory practices sought to be prohibited. Though developed to refer to the religious toleration of minority religious sects following the Protestant Reformation, these terms are increasingly used to refer to a wider range of tolerated practices and groups, or of political parties or ideas widely considered objectionable.[1]” wiki
Is it not the Golden Rule? Do unto others…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Golden_Rule
“The Golden Rule is arguably the most essential basis for the modern concept of human rights, in which each individual has a right to just treatment, and a responsibility to ensure justice for others.[3]” A key element of the Golden Rule is that a person attempting to live by this rule treats all people, not just members of his or her in-group, with consideration. The Golden Rule has its roots in a wide range of world cultures, and is a standard which different cultures use to resolve conflicts.[4] wiki
With out human Compassion and The Golden rule, where is social interconnectedness, where is the empathy? Where is the understanding?
The tolerance for those who still mourn? Those who oppose the building? (that is just one small pic) This project does not need to be built so near ground Zero. The Hallowed Ground of the worst terrorist attacks ever on American Soil.
A terrorist attack perpetuated in the name of Allah!
Now, I also have an opinion about the Muslim Religion. I do not view it as a religion. Certainly not in the sense of a loving, forgiving God type Religion. I have read many posting about the Quran and I believe from what I have read that once upon a time it was a peace loving religion. But as time passed and as the Quran was "abrogated"
which simply means changed, I believe the base of the Muslim religion under went change.I believe the Muslim Religion to be a form of Brutal Government. I mean no offence to peace loving American Muslim People. Only radical terrorists.. Read a little about Sharia Law and the abrogation
The Bottom line is Yes, it is legal - UNTIL the FUNDING proves otherwise.
But NO, empathically NO, it is not the Right Thing to do!
Is a Mosque at Ground Zero Salt on the wound or the most compassionate American act of Religious Tolerance? I believe it is salt on the wound.
When we as mere Citizens cannot see any commonsense in the recent acts of our own Government, and our attempts to correct this situation, are completely ignored!
What do you call that? We are not stupid or blind. If it walks like a duck...

Our 912 Project "Credo" is simple,
As set forth by Glenn Beck
(you need only agree with 7 of the nine principles)
The 9 principals
1. America Is Good.,
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.,
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.,
4. The family is sacred., My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.,
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.,
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.,
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.,
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.,
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
The 12 Values
Honesty – Reverence - Hope - Thrift - Humility - Charity - Sincerity – Moderation - Hard Work - Courage - Personal Responsibility - Gratitude.
You are doing a great job. Thanks.
Remember you cannot please everybody.
